I've always felt best outside, and some of my earliest memories are of exploring nature. Growing up in a small beach town on the mid-Atlantic coast provided endless opportunities to experience both coastal and woodland environments.
It's no surprise that I became an environmental educator, bringing outdoor education opportunities to students and teachers in Florida. I love sharing my passion for nature, and seeking unique leaves for designs helps me accomplish that.
I created my first leafprints as gifts for friends and family. Those shirts became conversation starters: strangers would ask about the design (“Are those real leaves?” “Yes!”), what type of leaf was used (many different species, but I do have my favorites), and where could they buy one?
Seven years later, I love creating designs for sale!
